42nd Annual CMA Awards" will be proclaimed on Country Music's biggest
morning, Wednesday, Sept. 10. A Video News Release (VNR) featuring the
announcements, artist soundbytes, and music video clips from nominated
artists testament be released via satellite that good afternoon at 2:00 PM/ET.
Country superstars Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift will announce the
final nominees in blue-ribbon categories live from New York City on ABC's "Good
Morning America" during the 8:30 AM (all time zones) half-hour segment.
Then, Country newcomers Lady Antebellum and James Otto will unveil the
nominees for the remaining categories on a special edition of CMT's "CMT
Insider," ventilation live from Nashville at 10:00 AM/ET.
The announcement of the final nominees leads up to "Country Music's
Biggest Night(TM)." "The 42nd Annual CMA Awards" airs live Wednesday, Nov.
12 (8:00-11:00 PM/EST) from the Sommet Center in Nashville on the ABC

...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead was formed in premature 1994 by Jason Reece and Conrad Keely, longtime friends wHO originally met in Hawaii before both settled in the perennial indie hotbed of Olympia, WA (where Reece fronted the infamous Mukilteo Fairies). Upon relocating together to Austin, TX, the twosome played their number one shows as You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, finally adding both the conjunction and the eclipsis as well as recruiting guitar player Kevin Allen and bassist/sampler Neil Busch. After issue a live cassette on the local Golden Hour tag, the mathematical group -- already legendary in indie circles for their lawless concert sets -- released their self-titled full-length debut on Trance Syndicate in early 1998. Following the label's give, AYWKUBTTOD touched to Merge to publication Virgin Mary in the fall of 1999. Donda West surgeon arrested in California for DUI
VALLEJO, Calif. - The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother before she died last fall has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Police said Dr. Jan Adams was seen using an off-ramp to get on a freeway early Thursday in the Northern California town of Vallejo, and was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.
The former host of TV's "Plastic Surgery: Before and After" had operated on 58-year-old Donda West the day before she died of likely heart disease coupled with surgery complications.
The state was investigating whether Adams' medical license should be revoked or suspended because of two previous alcohol-related arrests.
Adams was scheduled for arraignment in Solano County Superior Court on Monday.

Police To Extend Patrols Of Malibu Beaches After Weekend Trouble
LATEST: Extra sheriff's deputies have been assigned to patrol the beaches of Malibu, California after two celebrity-related incidents at the weekend (21-22Jun08).
On Saturday (21Jun08), Colin Farrell challenged a paparazzi after the Irishman spotted the snapper trying to take beach shots of him, his son and pregnant pal Minnie Driver.
Farrell ran up the beach and confronted the videographer, asking, "Are you f**king taking a picture of me and my boy? Turn that off."
And on Sunday (22Jun08), snappers trying to get photos of Matthew MCConaughey at Paradise Cove beach brawled with angry surfers, who took offence when their playground became a paparazzi target.
In video footage released to news networks, the surfers can be seen beating up the photographers and dragging one of them into the ocean.
Local officials in Malibu are fighting to change city laws to prevent the paparazzi from invading beaches. In the meantime, police have agreed to patrol target areas in a bid to halt further clashes between photographers and sunbathers.
One local tells WENN, "It's getting out of hand. Suddenly you spot a celebrity and then there's a swarm of photographers. Malibu people are sick of it."
